Enjoy a summer buffet your whole family will love, served in one of the most charming and centrally located venues in Greenfield Village — just steps from the Village Green, historic 1913 Herschell-Spillman Carousel and holiday programming vignettes.
Summer Salute Dinner offers two convenient service times and open-table seating for up to 10 guests, providing flexibility to relax and dine at your own pace before beginning your Salute to America experience.
The buffet features picnic-themed menu of barbecued chicken breast (GF), hot dogs, hamburgers (GF without buns), condiments, baked beans (VG), coleslaw (V), pasta salad (V), potato chips (V), cookies (V) and soda and water. Vegan (VG) burgers are available on request. Menu is served buffet-style for consumption in The Lodge only.

Summer Salute Dinner includes buffet dinner in The Lodge at Christie & Main and admission to Salute to America in Greenfield Village.
General Parking: $9 per vehicle for nonmembers and free for members.

Tickets go on sale May 28 for the public.
Ticket purchasers can join an online queue at 8:30 a.m. EDT for first access to tickets starting at 9:00 a.m. EDT on both member and public on-sale dates.
Tickets to Summer Salute Dinner are available to purchase in advance online or by calling our Contact Center at 313.982.6001. Dining tickets cannot be purchased on-site.
All guests within a single purchase will be seated together. Food allergies, dietary restrictions and requests to be seated next to a specific party can be noted during the online purchase process.

Members, we recommend testing your member login and password information for the fastest and most convenient purchase process. Please also ensure that your membership is valid through the date you are planning to visit Salute to America.
- Is there a guest-per-table requirement/limit?
Tables in The Lodge at Christie & Main can accommodate up to 10 guests. If tickets are purchased together, your group will be seated at the same table or adjoining tables for larger groups. Seating requests between parties will be accommodated based on availability. Please make note of additional seating requests during the online purchase process.
- Can the dining packages accommodate my dietary restriction?
We can accommodate most dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian substitutes.
Please be aware that our facilities are not food allergen- or gluten-free. Our food may contain or encounter common allergens, such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish or wheat. While we take steps to minimize risk and safely handle the foods that contain potential allergens, cross-contamination may occur. - Can I request a highchair?
- All tickets/seats for children 4 and under will automatically come with a highchair or booster seat.
- Where do I park for my reservation?
- Since both seatings take place during the event, please park in one of our general parking lots outside Greenfield Village or Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.
- Is carryout permitted?
- No, carryout is not permitted.
- How do I make changes to my purchase?
- All dining packages are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable. If you would like to add guests to your reservation, please make a separate dining purchase and note that you have an existing reservation, including the reservation number. If you believe you have made an error during the purchase process, please notify our Contact Center within 24 hours of your purchase.
- Does The Henry Ford offer refunds or exchanges in the event of extreme weather conditions?
- Salute to America is held rain or shine and will be canceled only in the case of severe or dangerous weather; no refunds or exchanges will be given due to inclement weather. Dangerous conditions are determined by The Henry Ford in cooperation with local emergency services.
Please note that certain program elements may be suspended during the event in the case of lightning or other severe weather conditions. - Do you offer ticket insurance?
- Yes, we offer FanShield Ticket Protection by Protecht.
You can add FanShield Ticket Protection to your online ticket purchase in case of unforeseen circumstances for a small fee. Fanshield covers ticket losses due to illness, injury, work travel, military service, transportation issues and more.
PLEASE NOTE: Fanshield Ticket Protection does not cover the cost of missed events due to inclement weather.
